John Jeffery's Thoughts on the Bracelet

By way of history, this bracelet had to have been at our house on Academy St in Manlius New York since gramma death.  Have no idea how it got there or why.   Cleaning up the house (as the last of the sisters moved into an nursing home) this past fall unearthed it.  So pleased with the energy in released.

Lee's Photo With Bracelet and Thoughts

First memories were about her wonderful lap and the mittens with contrasting colorful thumbs she made us for Christmas. I'll always remember her beautiful smile.    More thoughts:

  • She adored my father!
  • When she babysat us when Mom was sick with pneumonia after Don was born-- so comforting and upbeat even though she must have been so worried.
  • When she played kickball with us and the neighbors circa 1950!
  • When I was sixteen and she hugged me when I was married and gave me the ring her mother in law Rose Elliot gave her.   I suddenly panicked and cried!   Lost the diamond in the early seventies -- I wore the ring constantly and I guess it loosened.    I bought a little ruby stone when we went to India in 1980 and had it set in the ring.    It's been worn so often that the gold is really thin!  I gave the ring to Wendy.   It's had a history!
  • When for years she held court at our family reunions especially at Ev's camp.
  • When she was in the nursing home and I held her for the final time.   She who was so hearty and substantial, a coffee and cigarette hound, she felt like a little bird in my arms.

I adored her and always will!.
